New Life’s Men’s Ministry

Faithful Men is a networked fellowship of believing men committed to minister to meet the needs of others while mentoring men to be missional.

Networked – All participating men of New Life will be placed in a database and resulting yellow pages that will classify them by skills and occupation. This listing will be made available in printed form and on the web site of the church. Whenever someone is in need in the church then those with the corresponding skills will be contacted concerning the issue either by Faithful Men or by the person in need. If the project is too large for them a task force from Faithful Men would be assigned the organization an implementation of the plan to fulfill the need.

1Corinthians 12:4-7
(4) Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
(5) And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
(6) There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
(7) But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

Ephesians 4:16
(16) from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

1Peter 4:10
(10) As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Fellowship – the word “koinonia” actually means participation. Faithful Men is designed to allow maximum participation of the men of New Life in the support of others and in the development of their own Christian walk. Particpation of 100% of the men of New Life is the goal of Faithful Men.

Philippians 2:1-4
(1) Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
(2) make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
(3) Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
(4) do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

Believing Men –  Faithful Men are those who are following the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives. They desire to be disciple makers among those men coming in to the body of Christ at New Life who are desiring to mature as men and believers.

2Timothy 2:2
(2) The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Committed -   The desire of the ministry is to gain the commitment of Faithful Men who are willing sacrifice their own needs to serve the needs of others. The leadership of the Lord Jesus is their paramount concern in planning and serving His church.

Pro 16:3
(3) Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.

Minister – The number one goal of is the service to others. The clearest picture in the church of the Lord’s command "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF” is to be Faithful Men. Every effort should be made to ascertain the needs of the membership an fulfilling those needs.

Galatians 5:13-14
(13) For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
(14) For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."

Needs of Others -  Faithful Men every effort should be made to ascertain the needs of the membership an fulfilling those needs. A simple procedure will be maintained to allow members to voice their needs. There will also be a way to leaders to recommend actions that they become aware of.  will make e

James 2:15-17
(15) If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,
(16) and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
(17) Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

Mentoring Men – will encourage all participants to be involved in a mentoring relationship with other men. Times, studies and meetings will be designed and implemented for all men to participate. Participation in the activities of Faithful Men should be allowed only after a short membership class is completed.

Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.

Missional – As with all ministries of New Life the goal is to reach the lost of our community and the world. The intent of every service offered is to uncover and meet the spiritual need of the people served. Faithful Men should always maintain a witnessing training that will allow it’s members to effectively share Christ.

2Co 5:18-19
(18) Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
(19) namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
